Howdy, fellow moonshiners. I know we usually talk about beer but allow me to recount my recent excursion to the majestic Tennessee Mountains. I chanced upon multiple local distilleries known their exquisite moonshine creations—an unexpected delight in the midst of emotional flux. Venturing off the conventional route, I was captivated by the allure of these potent libations, each imbued with a distinct aura of indulgence and craftsmanship, MOONSHINE!!!!
My first destination was the venerable Ole Smoky Distillery, an establishment where tradition seamlessly melds with entrepreneurial acumen. Here, I encountered standards of excellence that reached celestial heights, coupled with a business acumen that was nothing short of masterful. Yet, it was the moonshine itself that truly stole the show—an elixir of unparalleled refinement, complemented by a fruit selection that tantalized the palate with its diversity and sophistication. Ole Smoky truly mixes business with pleasure.
Continuing down the streets of Gatlinburg, I found myself at Sugarlands Distillery, a sanctuary for aficionados of creamy moonshine and refined tastes.This fantastic haven boasted moonshine offerings that transcended the ordinary. Each sip offered a symphony of flavors, including eggo waffles, leaving a lasting impression long after the tasting experience concluded. This fantastic distillery even has a patio bar that mixes the wonderful selection of flavors. This spot is not to be missed while in the Tennessee G.. I must admit if I could only go to one moonshine place in Gatlinburg for the rest of my life. I would pick this one, all day long.
The last stop on the busy bustling streets was Tennessee Shine. It was cozy, intimate and fun. Unfortunately in the tastings their most interesting moonshines were not highlighted. The bearded man wanted everyone to get a lot of the powerful but not sweet stuff. Though not without its imperfections, the gracious hospitality of the ladies in the front and extensive selection at Tennessee Shine ensured a memorable encounter. A highlight was undoubtedly the serendipitous collaboration between Tennessee Shine and Moon Pie, a harmonious fusion of nostalgic confectionery and bold distillation. This partnership exemplified a stroke of culinary brilliance, elevating the sensory experience to new heights of gastronomic pleasure.
